Ellen Huijgh is pursuing her doctoral research in Canada’s capital and is associated with the Diplomatic Studies Programme of the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael in the Hague and the Political Science Department of the University of Antwerp in Belgium. Since 2007 she has been the editor of the Clingendael Discussion Papers, an international series published 4 times a year, distributed worldwide, and to which more than 100 scholars from more than 30 different countries have contributed. Ellen is also a member of the book-review panel of the peer reviewed academic journal The Hague Journal of Diplomacy. Apart from publishing in refereed journals, she has conducted article reviews for different academic journals in the field of communication and diplomacy. She is a member of several research organisations in Europe and North-America and also worked as a research fellow for the Flemish Interuniversity Centre for International Policy as well as a teaching assistant for the Communication Department of the Free University, Brussels.
