Donna Patrick


Donna Patrick is Director of the School of Canadian Studies at Carleton University, Ottawa and Professor both in the School of Canadian Studies and in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Her current research focuses on the urban Inuit community in Ottawa and in particular on Inuit literacies and the community-based activities that connect this community to the Arctic. Other interests include Indigenous rights; language rights and language endangerment discourses; and the political, social, and cultural aspects of Indigenous language use in Canada.
